4-23-10.....4 yrs old

4 years ago today you came into this world! Our hearts so filled with joy, we thought they would burst. I knew I couldn't love you anymore than I did at that very moment. Since then our love for you has grown leaps and bounds. We have watched you grow and change so much. We are so proud of the boy you are becoming and can't wait to see what your future holds. We love everything about you. Your smile, how it lights up a room. Your sense of humor, your imagination, that has no limits. You are so caring, loving and kind. You bring so much joy to our lives. We couldn't ask for anything more. Our prayer for you is that you would continue to grow in the Lord, the God who gave you to us. We are so thankful for you. We love you so much Saywer Calvin! Happy Birthday.

Love,
Daddy and Mommy

Goodbye 3

Sawyer, today is your last day as a 3 year old :( I can't believe how fast it has gone. Daddy and I implored you to reconsider turning 4. We had hoped that you would agree to remaining 3 for another year. Sadly, you were adamant about being 4. You explained that 4 year olds were better then 3 year olds, and how excited you were about being 4! We decided that it doesn't matter what age you are, you will always be the best to us! We love you so much Sawyer, and we are excited to see what this new year brings. Here are your favorite things about being 3!

Birthday week begins

The countdown to 4 has begun. By weeks end we will have ourselves a real live 4 year old boy. We are still trying to figure out where all the time has gone.
The week kicked off with Sawyer opening his first present, Uncle Daniel and Auntie Athena's gift arrived today. He loves it ( see pictures below ). The rest of the week is packed with trips to Chuck E. Cheese to finalize party plans, cupcakes to celebrate at school, final party preperations (posts to follow), and picking Grammy up from the airport- she is flying in special for Sawyer's Birthday :) Friday's the big day and we plan to celebrate all day. Special breakfast, lunch with Daddy, and Studio Movie Grill for dinner. We'll finish out the week with Sawyer's Pirate Party at Chuck E. Cheese. It's going to be a busy week, but worth it in the end. Enjoy the pics!

He loves getting stuff in the mail

Easter eggs

Our dear friends the Palmers had us over to dye Easter eggs. We had such a good time being together and dying eggs. I have so many fond memories of dying eggs as a kid, I hope Sawyer enjoys it as much as I did/do. As if dying eggs wasn't enough Steph had Spring shaped cookies for the kids to decorate and eat after they were finished with their eggs. She thinks of everything. What wonderful memroies were made that day. Here are a few pics. Enjoy!

Waiting for his egg to be just the right color.

Bowling with the Easter Bunny

We went bowling yesterday with some friends from school! The kids really enjoyed bowling and even got a visit from the Easter Bunny. He made a stop at each lane to take pictures with all the kids and give them a special Easter treat. The kids thought this was really special. We had such a good time. Here are some pictures, Enjoy!
