Here we are again, it's Friday!!!! Fridays are typically my favorite day of the week, as I'm sure yours is as well. Friday means Paul is home for the weekend, and Sawyer and I love our time with him. However, Sawyer and I are still on vacation. I know I know, its been over 2 weeks, we are really enjoying our time here but we are really missing Paul and just being home! We have one week left of our vacation and I know it will go by much faster than we would like it to. Here are a few things we have done this past week. Sorry there are no pictures, it takes forever since I have to load them one at a time, you will all have to wait till I get back home and can load them from the entire vacation.
1) Monday was our God daughter Molly's 2nd Birthday! What a delight it was for me to be able to spend it with her. We lover her so much and hate that we only get to see her a couple times during the year. I'm so glad we were able to celebrate with her. She is such a delight to me and to her family, we are so lucky to have her in our life! We love you Molly girl!
2) I was in charge of cake for Molly's birthday. I had recently come across this blog called Our Best Bites ( if I knew how to set up a link for it I would, but I dont). There was a recipe for rainbow cupcakes. I decided to try and make those for her party. Those of you that know me, know i'm baking challenged. So this would be interesting. I bought two cake mixes just in case I messed up the first time. Guess what they were perfect and a HUGE hit with the kids. I didnt follow there recipe exactly, I just used a store bought cake mix mixed it and divided it into 5 bowls. I then died each bowl a different color. I began to layer the colors in the cupcake wrappers, and baked them according to the pkg directions. I wish I would have taken a picture, they are so easy and so fun.
3) My sister-in-law Julie had her carpets cleaned this week, so she came down with her kids, Faye and Wil and we got to spend the day with them swimming and hanging out! We were also excited when our friends The Iuli's decided to come over for swimming and dinner. They brought there sweet baby girl who is just about 3 months old over and she is just so precious. She is also the best baby ever, she never gets upset never cries, its wonderful. It's so much fun for me to get see our der friends Ryan and Rachel take on this new role of parents. We are so happy for them, and wish them the best. Ryan also made us a delicious dinner. We had shish kabaobs, grilled corn on the cob, and garlice bread. It was amazing. Thanks for the great food and fun.
4) Project Runway started this week. I am a HUGE fan of this show, as are many of our friends out here. When we lived here we would all get together for dinner and PR every Thursday night durning the season. It was so much fun to get together last night, just like old times. A few of us gathered in the living room at my in-laws house with some amazing mexican food, and enjoyed the season premiere of the shows 5th season. It's just so much more fun to watch as a group, especially with our friend Tommy who just graduated fashion design school in May. Can't wait till next week!
5) Wed night Sawyer and I headed up to a family reunion, for Paul's side of the family. It was so much fun to get to meet some of these people for the first time. I mean we've only been married 5 years ;) It was aslo fun to get to see some people we hadn't seen since we moved. I got to meet Jessica Thompson, who is my dear friend Stephanie's best friend out here, how cool is it that we are related! I can totally see why they get along so well. They are both wonderful, genuine people, i'm so blessed to know them both. It was so much fun to see Aunt Mary, Uncle Ray and Aunt Thelma, they are Nana's brothers and sisters who flew in from Kentucky, and West Virginia. It's so cool to see them all together again. I'm so glad I was here to get to be a part of it.
Well thats it, nothing super exciting this week. Next week I will be home and hopefully have pictures for you. Have a wonderful weekend!

Five for Friday!
I know it's been a while since my last post. I have been on vacation. Lucky for me only 2 people read my blog and 1 of them was with me on vacation and the other I talk to everyday on the phone. I have a lot to post and Pictures to come of our trip to Palm Springs, but for now I will post my 5 for the week.
1) Sawyer and I have been in San Diego for a week and a half, we are really enjoying our time here. We spent a week in Palm Springs with Paul's family, swimming, playing games, hanging out, eating, bowling and , much more. It was so much fun to be with everyone.
2) On our trip we had a family bowling tournament, every adult was paired with a child and we bowled 2 games. Since there were not enough children I was nominated as a child for the day. I got to be paired with Paul's brother Daniel. To make the tournament a little more interesting the winners got to take home 2o bucks. We had a great time watching all the kids bowl, the kids were amazing. It was so much fun to see how excited they were to knock the pins down. If seeing Sawyer dance after every throw wasn't enough, Daniel and I ended up winning. No thanks to me. I'm worse than the kids. Good job Daniel.
3) Since we were in Palm Springs most of our time was spent swimming at the pool. All of the kids love to swim, except Sawyer. It was a challenge even getting him in the pool. We finally forced him in the 3rd day. He wasn't happy at first but gradually warmed up to the idea, and by the end of the trip he was out in the middle of the pool by himself ( with his floaty suit of course ). He did however LOVE the water slide and would have been on it all day if he could have talked his aunts and uncles into taking him on more than they already had.
4) We were blessed each day to have a big home cooked breakfast courtesy of my mother-in-law Val. I LOVE breakfast and her potatoes, apple pancakes, and Christmas rolls are some of my favorites. Thanks Val for all your hard work on our trip. We had some great dinners as well. Each night one of the ladies would make dinner for everyone. We had, tacos, spaghetti, burgers, pizza, chicken, enchiladas and more. It was so much fun getting to spend that time with everyone, eating and playing game, thanks to Athena for the Pina Coladas they were sooooo good.
5) I also got to break our big news to everyone. Getting to tell the family that the Lord has blessed us with another baby was so exciting. We had known for a couple weeks, and it was KILLING me not being able to tell them. It's so nice to finally have everyone know and be able to share in this special time with us. We are still very overwhelmed at the Lord's kindness, and goodness in our life, and are daily thanking him for this precious life he has blessed us with.
Well there they are my 5 for this week and a few highlights of our week. I will post a more detailed account of our trip with pictures soon. Hope everyone had a great week. Enjoy your weekend!

Home Sweet Home!!!!
Yesterday Sawyer and I headed home to San Diego. It was hard to say goodbye to daddy for 3 weeks, but we are so excited to see everyone. Sawyer was amazing on both our airplane rides. He is an excellent traveler. We arrived in San Diego at 2 and Lance picked us up. We headed to Islands to meet Nana for lunch. It was so much fun to see her and get to spend some time together. After lunch Sawyer and I went to visit our friend Rachel, who was prgenant last time we saw her,but now has a beautiful 3 month old baby girl. It was so fun to meet Keialani( probably spelled that wrong). After our short visit with the Iuli's we headed back to Doug and Vals ( Pauls parents house) Julie brought the kids down and needless to say we were more than excited to see them. The kids didnt get much time to play because Sawyer and I had to go meet my parents for dinner. Luckily we are going to Julies tomorrow for a swim day. We picked up my mom and dad and went to El Torito for dinner, I hadnt been there since I was a kid, but it was actually pretty good. We had a great time catching up with them, and Sawyer loves seeing his grandparents. After dinner we dropped my parents back off at home and made our way to see the Juarez's. It was so much fun to spend a couple hours just talking and catching up with Wences and Amy. Not to mention the sweetest baby girl lives there, my God daughter Molly. I cant believe how much she has changed in the few short months since we had seen her. Sawyer loved playing with the kids, it was a great visit. Can you believe we did all that in our first day, geez. The rest of the week is filled with more family time, swimming, pedicures, and to top it all off we are heading to Palm Springs with all of Paul's family on Friday for a week. Its going to be great, we can hardly wait.

Haircut!
Today marks a milestone for Sawyer, today was the first time Sawyer had his haircut without throwing a MONSTER fit. Those of you who have experienced a haircut with Sawyer know how big of a deal this is. It was such a relief to have him just sit there and not flail about, with no screaming or crying. It was a wonderful experience for all parties involved. Thank you Erin for doing such a great job and for being so patient with our little "monster." Here are some before and after pictures of Sawyer's new "do".
